Afraid.

Afraid to want.

Afraid to hurt.

Afraid to need.

Afraid to miss.

Afraid to love.

Why does it seem as though one of the simplest of emotions, is equally the most difficult? I throw the word "love" out to my family and close friends every day without a second thought, but when it comes to someone I may have feelings for, I am hesitant to say anything. 

I don't know what I am most afraid of, my past or my future...
